The main objective of the project is to establish and strengthen cooperation between representatives of V4 countries operating in one of the most innovative branches of the world economy, the aviation industry. Discussion on the role that the aviation industry plays in the context of the economies of the Visegrad countries seems necessary and interesting to us, especially in the context of the experience and technological resources of the two Visegrad countries: Poland and the Czech Republic. The knowledge and experience of these countries is based on a long and significant tradition and achievements related to the aviation industry and its history in our region. Other countries of the V4 group see this innovative part of the market as a great opportunity to create a highly innovative industry with significant technological and export potential. New areas emerging within the aviation industry, especially where there is a revolution based on ITC, generate new development opportunities with high growth potential (e.g. drones, simulators, software). This enables new entities, including small and medium-sized enterprises, to enter the aviation market. The project will be the first stage (more projects dedicated to the aviation industry are planned).
Both, Poland (Silesia) and the Czech Republic (Moravia) have a rich tradition in the design and manufacture of aircraft and gliders, as well as historical achievements in the development of technologies related to the production of aircraft. They are important elements of the supply chain for the global aviation industry and international transport. Slovakia and Hungary are also showing an increasing interest in aviation issues, but so far the cooperation of aviation industry representatives in the Visegrad Partnership has been rather limited. We should not forget about the opportunities offered by the aviation industry, which is considered to be one of the most innovative in the world, in the context of the 4.0 revolution that is coming closer to us - this should be borne in mind, especially in view of the very high added value for the development of the industry and economies of the group, through the use and implementation of advanced technologies used in aviation. The development of the aviation industry among companies, under V4, may consequently lead to the implementation of joint projects, which will result, for example, in the implementation of further actions aimed at undertaking and implementing projects dedicated to the aviation industry, both in terms of soft measures such as the promotion of a common aviation history, entrepreneurs operating in this sector, as well as the implementation of joint advanced technological, design and investment projects.
